The Back Story:

Two Harbors Lighthouse

The Two Harbos Light Station is the oldest operating lighthouse in the state of Minnesota. The construction of the Light Station began in 1891 and completed in 1892. The 49.6 foot tower is made of red brick and the head keeper's residence is attached. It towers 78 feet above the surface of Lake Superior.

About the Artist: Paul M. Bradley Jr., an architect by profession, began drawing lighthouses after a New England vacation sparked his interest in the structures. His drawings appear quarterly in the Keeper's Log, a publication of the U.S. Lighthouse Society (www.uslhs.org).
