Hula Girl Pin-up: Bettie Page
Bettie Page was born April 22nd, 1923 and passed away on December 11th, 2008. She was among the most popular models from the United States, mostly known for her Fetish Modeling and Pin-up Photos. Her signature jet black hair and bangs are often seen and replicated in youth today. She was also one of the first Playmates of the month being quoted as a “remarkable lady and an iconic figure in pop culture...someone who had a tremedous impact on our society,” by magazine founder Hugh Hefner. After years of obscurity, she experienced a resurgence of popularity from the 1980’s ‘til today and has since had a large
cult following.
