The Back Story:
Point Lookout
Point Lookout Lighthouse, located in St. Mary’s County, Maryland is an original structure that served as a navigational aid to the shipping community, beginning in 1830. In 1965, the Lighthouse was deactivated as a navigational aid, but continued to house civilians until 1979. The Point Lookout Lighthouse is said to be the most haunted lighthouse in the U.S. with paranormal encounters dating back as early as 1860
About the Artist: Paul M. Bradley Jr., an architect by profession, began drawing lighthouses after a New England vacation sparked his interest in the structures. His drawings appear quarterly in the Keeper's Log, a publication of the U.S. Lighthouse Society (www.uslhs.org).
