The Back Story:
Gecko - Zuni Tribe
To the Native American Zuni Tribe, the Gecko was a sign of luck and good fortune. The Gecko symbol is found on early wall drawings, pottery, woven into basket designs and as fetishes (personal charms).
The Zuni tribe originated from a tribe that lived in the same area over 1,000 years prior to the coming of the Europeans to North America.
Their culture is very reclusive and isolated much as their city and their language. They are known for their artwork, sculpture and dishware of timeless beauty.
